Did I accidentally buy the regular v6 instead of the ecoboost??

Mine says "flex fuel" which i believe does not work with the ecoboost. the v6 is not a terrible engine though, but i would have prefered the ecoboost and am quite pissed

Nope. You can get the Ecoboost in all trims except the STX. An Ecoboost will have a badge on the front driver and passenger door.
