Detailing thread...
post what you like/dont like, tips/tricks/helpful hints/pics/stories.
i have ben using mothers gold car wash on my 12. wash it with a microfiber. best soap i have used so far, the rain-x soap works really good to. working in a mechanic/body shop for the past 12 years, i have used my fair share of compounds/polishes, tire shines, degreasers etc. as of right now, the truck was clay barred then hand polished with nxt 2.0 wax then sealed with collinite 845. basically just do a good hand wash and she shines better than new. i tried out eagle ones new enviroshine, and i must say it does a pretty good job on the wheels, but i still hand wash them to. its biodegradeable so i know it wont harm the paint or animals who drink the water after i wash my truck in it.
a few tips that i would like to share.
-take new microfibers and wash them in carwash soap, then twist out all the water until almost dry. let them air dry and they are ready to use. not all fuzzy anymore, shouldnt leave swirls to.
-nothing beats elbow grease
-armour all is the devil
-quick detailer in the jams works really good for cleaning and leaving a barrier
-collonite 845 has to be the best product i have ever used. it works on everything, even glass. i dont even use rain x anymore.
feel free to add.

A 1979 Red 23' SeaCraft got me useing the 845 about 20 years ago.
but I'v never used it on the glass , because it says not to.
But Iv been seeing threads saying they are useing it on windshields.
How long have you been useing it on your winshield?
No problems?
