I stopped by local dealer to pick up air filter for my '02 SuperCrew 5.4 Lariat, and asked about flushing radiator, transmission, and oil/filter changes. I usually do some of these myself, but getting a little too old, arthritis, etc. and deciding to let dealer handle these things for me from now on. He mentioned some kind of incentive/membership where you get every 5th oil change free and build up $ for future services discounts.
So, does anyone here know about this, or are y'all doing this? I am learning that the dealer is actually cheaper than local shops for oil/filter changes now, as well as things like coolant flush. My truck has 82,000 miles and I have never had coolant changed, nor transmission fluid. Thanks for advice.

It's called owners advantage rewards.Sign up with dealer,it's free .I just had "the works "done oil change ,tire rotation,. all fluids.Normally $39.95 with owners advantage rewards it is $29.95.After I returned home I went to the owners advantage rewards website and received a $10 rebate total $19.95.That's for 5 quarts because I have a F150 which takes 7 quarts it was $10.00 more for me.
It works. My next oil change will be free. You also build up extra dollars to use to pay on services as you go along. I, like you did this stuff when I was younger. But with the new EPA regs. about disposing of used oil, and the fact that I just don't want to mess with it anymore. Off to the dealer I go.
When your signed up, go to the owners site. There you can print coupons for oil changes, etc.
screwball, my service guys throw in the extra quart at no charge. Maybe your guy just needs a hug.
And then you can get yours free also.

Thanks too, Wanted (got to love these screen names!). I got my coolant flushed today, and got a member number, but can't log in yet. The Ford owner's site says invalid number, so I guess maybe the dealer has to input it or something.
Anyway, yeah, I am really a do-it-yourself guy, but man, oil in me eyes, all over shirts, etc., me pain, yep, dealer from now on I think.

It must be that southern hospitally, here in the northeast that hug will more likely get me a blackeye than a quart of oil.Remember to look for the link on the owners advantage site that says click here for rebates punch in your date of service to see if you're eligable for a $10 rebate.
