Dealer installed Triton "Paint and Leather Protection" ????
After buying my new Lariat I went through all the paperwork when I got home and I saw where I was charged $398 for Triton Paint and Leather Protection. I questioned them afterwards and they said all their vehicles were treated and that the price is reflected in all their new vehicles. It's a year "warranty". I applied synthetic wax a few days later because the paint had no indications that any sealant was on it. No water beading or slick feel. What I signed for was that I understood the 1 year warranty, not accepting the purchase. Should I demand a refund ?

When I sold cars, it was $795 for the "paint protection" but it was a 5 year warranty. I sold it as a warranty, and very upfront with the customer. 1 year warranty is pretty ****ty and good luck demanding a refund if you've already completed the paperwork. Not to be that guy... but you should've read what you were signing before you signed it.

Take it as a $398 lesson and hope that they didn’t also screw you over on other items/terms.

As I said above, it was signing to acknowledge the year warranty, not purchase. I was told at the time it was already applied, so it wasn't something they could take off. However after checking the surface of the paint it was obvious no sealant had been used. I even had a friend who details cars professionally check the surface with some sort of tool he had to make sure it had no sealant. After all that I confronted dealership about it and was told it hadn't been applied yet and it was "their bad" and that they would schedule a time to have it done. I told them I just needed a refund. I'll post the outcome as soon as happens.
