I only got to see the last 54 laps, but the race got very boring there at the end with all the laps run under caution. Glad to see Newman get the win, although my fave Jimmy Johnson got knocked down there towards the end it was still a decent race with what I saw.

i really thought Gibbs racing was going to win it. Tony and Kyle (douchebag) bush were the top contenders. Seemed like only hendrick was putting any pressure on them until roush-fenway moved into the picture. But seeing Penske take the top 2 positions was certainly an upset and very surprising. I am happy to see Newman get his first win since 2005 but i woul've preferred it to be Tony or Kevin Harvick!

I have been a Harvick fan since he beat gordon at atlanta in 2001. I am also a fan of Tony Stewart, looks like this season may turn out to be something to talk about. We can only hope to knock Hendrick off of there ***** shaped pedistal and name some one else more deserving the champion.

P.S. Dale Jr sucks!

Nowadays there is no difference between FOrd, Chevy, Dodge, or Toyota. They are cookie cutter cars.

yeah i agree to a point. Toyota was making 30 more horsepower than anyone else yesterday. Nothing beats short track racing!!!


Toyota brought a legal motor to nascar this year that made 95 more horsepower than the other 3 manufacturers. Nascar told them to change the camshaft, when they came back to nascar for approval they still made 30hp more. Nascar ok'd it and what you see now is toyota more competitive. Good to see 4 manufacturers involved and all 4 are competitve.

I say good job nascar you've done something to benefit the competitors instead of hurting them!

I couldn't have picked a seasoned driver out there that I would rather see win it than Newman. He helped Penske to get his 1st Daytona win. I am not a Dodge fan but it is better than having toyota winning the 3rd race of the weekend. We would have been up to our ears in more pathetic BS toyota commercials. I got tired of all of the quakerstate/hendricks commercials when they won the top 3 spots years ago. It was all about team driving. I would rather watch dirt track racing any day of the week.

Darrel is annoying but then there is his brother Mike who globs a tube of grease in his hair when ever he does his show on speed. I can't even watch the show. I don't know who looks worst. Tony woth long hair or Mike with greasy hair.
