Daytime running lights? Where?
New 2019 XLT. There are two light banks in front grill not counting fog lights. I have tried everything to understand the lower pair of lights. Single bulb in each, lights on, nothing. Parking light switch. only amber parking lights. Light switch on both on auto or on all the time, only main headlights light. DRL on command is on but still no lights. What are those lower, single lamp lights?
A lot of vehicles including the 12th gen F-150s have the low and high beams as a single light per side with two filaments in the bulbs, one being your low beam and the other is your high beam. Some have the high beams separate and as the other two have said, yes, those lower ones are independent high beams. It's much better since the mirror pattern can be made specifically for a high beam and both your lows and highs are on at the same time when your high beams are turned on.
Daytime running lights are just the low beams but with only 10 volts going to them instead of 12.

You never said you tried the high beams. Do you know how to activate your high beams? Those lower lights are definitely high beams and only come on when the high beams are activated.
Or your high beam switch doesn't work (or something related to failed high beams).
Assuming you mean the 2 lights that look identical to the low beams.
Some people refer to high beams as "brights".....so turn on your brights instead. Maybe that will work.
Also, I downgraded this as something that isn't really a problem. If a 'thing' can wait until 'the next service/oil change' it's obviously not a problem.
Save yourself a trip to the Covid shop and at least tell us you flipped the lever for high beams/brights and still no lights light up.

The lever in question is your blinker lever. Up for right blinker, down for left blinker, forward (towards the dash) is high beam, pull the lever towards you and the high stays on while you hold it there, and lastly twist the end for your windshield wipers.
Sounds like operator error.

The Day time driver lights are the upper low beams that only work if light switch is in the auto mode.
To say it again, Stupid.
Thank you for all your responses and help.

Hmm, reckon I'm stupid too, I didn't know that sensor would do that. Of course, my DRLs are shut off, and I don't use the auto setting on the switch, in my own defense.
