33 gallons x mpg you get. That leaves 3 gallons in the reserve, roughly what you will have when you hit 0 DTE.

That's the first I've heard of real world MPG being higher than the instrument gauge. Typically the gauge is more optimistic than the real world.

For my 2014 my real world calculated fuel economy is always 2-3% worse than what the computer says, which translates into being off by 0.5 mpg or closer. This seems better than a lot of folks that can be off by as much as 3 or more mpg, but it still bothers me because the Frontier I drove for 12 years was always spot on, tank after tank.

Here is the best I've gotten with my 3.5EB & max tow.
It was exceptional enough to take the picture at the end of my trip...while pulling into the hotel parking lot.
I have 396 miles on that tank, with 440 miles to empty. That gives a range of over 800 miles in ideal conditions.

You apparently aren't a reader of any sort. His truck is listed in his public profile.

Common practice, courtesy/netettique, would be to post the vehicle's information in the signature or provide it in posting(s) rather than requiring research for that info'.

i.e. ... "My current truck" IS?

HINT/TIP: Put your -COMPLETE- vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive, mileage, modifications, etc., etc.) in your signature -OR- provide it in your posting(s).

*Telepathic or Carnac we're not.

How is it common courtesy for you to criticize someone for not repeating information? It takes 2 clicks to look at the profile.

How did you get to be the netettique police? Maybe the person could have included his pickup. How do you get to correct him? Oh, I see since you have over 7000 posts you feel like you have a position to uphold?

Try to read and see I have not tried to correct you, just asked how it is your responsibility.

Not sure how that fixes the issue where the guage says you have x amount of gallons used but its always off at least 1 gallon or so, which in my case typically is the difference in the mpg

You've obviously confused criticism and correction for inquiring and recommending. Understandable for internet/forum newbies or someone unfamiliar with posting in automotive forums.

In effect the question and recommendation was an attempt to shorten the necessity of playing 20 questions, not only for this post, but also for future postings as well.

And as for 2 clicks to look at the profile ... If the OP (that's - Original Poster) has seen fit to omit rudimentary information why should it necessitate research of any form? Besides, it's 2 clicks that can never be reclaimed in life.
SAVE THE ELECTRONS!

As for netettique police, get to correct him (BTW ... a bit sexist on your part), 7000 posts ... position to uphold ... Actually, I'm one of those individuals who has the fortitude to say what a lot of other people are thinking. Well that, and I'm the blunt jerk that's been here (and several other F-150 and Raptor forums) for 8+ years, received 1,302 likes, actually repaired and worked on vehicles for several decades as well as been in the role of service advisor at several facilities.

No correction nor criticism implied and/or intended. After all ... Reading is a lost art.
