Crazy Gasoline Prices!
I make a 300 mile round trip across Ohio every week. I am amazed at how gasoline prices vary at the same stations from week to week. A station that was $3.00 a gallon last week may be $3.49 a gallon this week while another station that was $3.39 a gallon last week may be $2.99 a gallon this week. Thanks to Gas Buddy, I can always find the cheapest station.
That is also why I love my 36 gallon fuel tank in my 2013 Screw 4x4 Ecoboost. It gives me enough range to always get the cheapest gasoline. I sometimes buy only 10 gallons to fill it up and maybe the next time 30 gallons depending on which station has the cheapest gas on my trip.
Any one know why gasoline prices are so crazy from week to week at different stations?

When I go back to Ohio to visit, I notice the same thing. My sister tells me that most all stations jack up their prices on Monday/Tuesday to catch people who need gas to get to work. As the week progresses, their prices go down, and then back up again on Mondays. As soon as business slows, they lower their costs, and if there's a competitor across the street, they always price match…up or down.
Around here it's fairly consistent from day to day but can vary $.15 or so from station to station. The lowest I've seen so far is $3.12. It never did hit $4.00.
How many of you, and where, are seeing prices under $3.00?
