Crappy Line-X job. Would you care?
I took my new F-150 to have a Line-X sprayed in last weekend. The first thing I saw when I picked it up was a big run on the wheel well:
I haven’t said anything to the company yet. Part of me is pissed that I paid for a premium product. The other, less angry part realizes that this won’t affect the functionality. There are a couple of small shiny areas under the rails where they didn’t get the texture right, and a little “nipple” of extra texture on the side. What say you? Would you complain or am I being too picky?

eh, if you are worried about looks then you paid for something to look a certain way and it doesn't, and I guess id bring it up.
First thing I did after my line x (after it cured) was put a tonneau cover on it and a DeeZee rubber mat so my bed is hidden 90% of the time, I did the line x just to protect it so the minor imperfections would bother me as long as they don't affect the functionality

As a customer; you paid for a service or product. If you feel as though that product/service doesn't live up to your or the companies' standards, mention it. Good businesses enjoy hearing honest feedback. It helps improve their business for others in future and allows them to correct a possible service failure for you. Your mentioning of this, may reveal a flaw in their process and could save them future headaches. Up to you.

Personally I'd live with it, I'm sure soon enough you won't notice the run and how often do you look under the rails? And yes like the other guy said, at least they took the hardware out before they sprayed.
However if you bought it to look pretty AND the agreement with the company has something about aesthetics written into it (like we guarantee no runs, or if you aren't satisfied we will fix it guaranteed) AND you are OCD (which is not a fault just a trait lol) then yeah bring it up politely and see what they can/will do to correct the issues

I wouldn't care about the run if they gave me a nice discount for it.

To me the run, no biggie as long as it was not thin above it. Now not spraying a solid coat even under the bed rails, I would complain but nicely. They could have had a new guy do it and we were all new and green at one time.

I agree...I would live with the run...doesn't look that bad. But I would still take it by and have the manager look at the work so they can improve their processes for other customers.

Personally, that wouldn't bother me at all if it were my deal.
Easy for me to say as opted for a bed liner instead of a spray job.
A few years ago i got an estimate from a line-x shop to do just the lower part of the doors on my XJ.
Their quote was ridiculou$ly out of this world and they would need to keep it for at least a couple days. Forget that.
So i did it my self for the meager cost of a couple rattle cans of Rustoleum bed liner.
Happy to say years later, that stuff is holding up great and even did my rear bumper with it last Summer.
