Default Coolant

I need to add some coolant to my 2019 f150 with the V-8. I understand it has to be yellow in color-WSS M97B57-A2. Having a hard time finding some Any suggestions on brands or part Numbers? Would like it to be 50/50 mix. Thanks

If there is a dealer nearby coolant in concentrated form us usually $20-$25 (depending) - then you need not worry about mixing brands.

If just needing to add a bit to top off, what's wrong with the universal, mix with any color/brand coolant?

O'Reilly and AutoZone carry the correct coolant.

If it is just a little low in the tank add distilled water. It will get mixed in and the mixture should be be plenty potent to keep it from freezing.

Never mix coolants. Spend the money and get the Motorcraft Yellow coolant.

So you know the 2019 F150 5.0 coolant type depends on the build date, straight from the FMC website. I do not know how one finds the build date other then entering the VIN into Oasis, I assume there is another way though. Honestly if you just need to top off the coolant a little but I would just add some water, that is only for topping off fluid, less then a quarter gallon.

Vehicles Built On Or Before December 31 2018 use Orange coolant, part number for concentrated WSS-M97B44-D
Vehicles Built On Or After January 1 2019 use Yellow coolant, part number for concentrated WSS-M97B57-A1

The new yellow coolant is the replacement for the older orange coolant and is backward compatible. I found the Yellow coolant at the local dealer.

That is correct, the new yellow coolant replaces orange coolant, I believe you are suppose to flush a majority of orange coolant out when refilling with yellow coolant, that is at least how my dealer has decided to do this after talking to out regional field service rep person.
