Guys and gals,
I just noticed that there is a LED light inside the console bucket that is under the radio and in front of the gear shift. Does that light go out? I don't have the sliding cover shut. Or does it go out if I shut the lid? See my picture where I circled in yellow.

My 2016 goes off when I close the sliding door.

 

You know that cell phone used for the pic of the exterior of the console?

Put that same phone inside the vault on video record mode. Face it upwards. As you watch yourself close the door you will see if the light goes off.
I tired getting in the fridge once to see if the light goes off but I just couldn't fit. I still don't know if the fridge light ever goes off.

Once you learn of the light status, please let us know if it goes off, how long it takes to go off when the door is closed, etc.

It appears this is time based only. It may be the ten minutes in the related post at the bottom of this one. Locking the truck, closing the lid, not closing it made no difference. Appreciate you all. Thanks for the replies.
