Default Confused

Do any of you guys know what would cause my 4 wheel drive fuse to keep blowing? After I use my 4 low it stays stuck in 4 low and wont come out. ive replaced the fuse twice so far, and dont want this to become a major issue.

thanks.

If it's under warranty take it in. If you try to troubleshoot it yourself, one way is to carefully pull the switch and trace wires to their individual connections. You will be looking for 2 wires shorted to each other or an abraded wire that is hitting metal (ground).

If you have a Multimeter and a Haynes manual for your truck you can make things easier, that way you can test the individual solenoid/switch or wire that is problematic.

This sounds like an electronic shifter motor on the transfer case.

the problem lies in the fact that you have electronic 4x4... there are so many possibilities it could be when it comes to E4x4... best bet is to take it to a stealership...
