Default compressor running in heat mode

I know that the compressor runs in defrost although I have never known why, but should it run in the panel/floor mode?

I always understood the AC runs in defroster to remove humidity before hitting windwhield. Something is tickling my brain about it running elsewhere. Have to get back later after confirmation.

Every Ford I have owned, has done this, so I would say it is okay.

A/C compressor runs, with defrost, floor/panel and max.

it should only run in ...max ax...defrost...floor/defrost........... **unless** you have an ac button.. and if the ac button is lit.. it will run anytime... so if you have it on panel and the ac button is lit .. its going to run
