Default Compression Tester Adapter

I'm having trouble finding an compression tester adapter for a 2005 4.2 L engine. I bought the set with 4 different adapters but none of them work..It seems they won't reach the spark plug hole or something. Any ideas anyone?

Brand of tester and more detail on "or something" would help a lot. People are just going to suggest using the thing you're already using.

They are the Performance Tool W80577 adapter set. I just need to know what adapter will work for a 4.2 l it's a pretty common engine. As far as the "something it's like I said, I don't think the adapters I have will reach the spark plug hole either that or they are to fat to get past the recess that the spark plug hole sets in.

The 4.2 uses 14mm plugs. You got the wrong set of adapters. Might be that your tester doesn't need an adapter. 14mm is very common.
