Coils misfiring
If you're referring the COPS (Coil Over Plugs); that's common on Fords, Toyotas, etc that have this setup. If you're not familiar with them, then read up on 'em and replace them yourself. It's a high dollar job at the dealer and most garages, but you can do it fairly cheaply and quickly with the proper tools. The coils can be purchased from $140 each all the way down to $108 for a complete set of 8 from eBay. I had 2 of them replaced by a local garage over the years at $125 each. I bought a complete set on eBay, had my tools ready, and the step-by-step instructions laid out, and it took me 7 hours from start to finish. If I had to do it again, I know I could reduce the time to about 3 hours.
