Try a throttle/idle relearn. FordTech has some good info, I do not always follow but generally good stuff. KM

Update:

I went through the throttle body cleaning and relearn processes, and it worked! No more laggy throttle response. While going through the relearn process, I started the truck and went inside the house for 15 minutes. When I came back out, I couldn't hear the truck, so I was like, oh crap, it died. It didn't die. It was idling as it should, slow and steady like a new truck. I really can't believe this is the same truck. Thanks for the help
