clutch problem

Default clutch problem

ok so i have a 96 f150 with a 5.0 the problem im having is my hydraulic level keeps going low during the winter now apparently its a common problem because i have 2 friends with the same truck and theirs also do it...any ideas?

Welcome to the site... have you found a place were its leaking... prolly check around the bottom of bellhousing could be a bad slave cyclinder

I have not, I just got the truck and found out about the problem...the thing that is throwing me off is they only do it when it is cold outside. During the summer they will not leak a drop.

colder weathers can draw up seals or even make some clearences tight on any metal

i heard some sort of pin in the slave cylinder has a habbit of going on these trucks

ya..it sucks on that model of truck you have to pull the trans out too...
