Default Cluster diagnostic's

00 5.4 2wd I reflowed the soldered pins for odometer and for the the two plugs. But still get dash’s on odometer. Is there a way to test cluster?

First, test to see if the PCM is powering up. Far, far more common than a cluster failure for causing this particular symptom.

The dashes indicate that the cluster and the PCM did not power up and establish their communication withing their timing window. A common cause is a faulty PCM Power Relay.

If you need to, there is a repair place called https://www.upfix.com/. I contacted them for my 2004 Ranger when Livinitup couldn't help me due to the age of my cluster. Haven't sent mine out yet, waiting for warmer weather before I pull the truck apart again.
