Default Clear coat peeling. What do I do?

Hey guys I have a 2010 F150 Plat which I just purchased a couple months ago. I have some clear coat peeling off of one of the passenger side doors. Not sure what could have caused this but it keeps getting worse. Any ideas on what I should do about this?
Thanks

There is really only one way to fix it and that is the wet sand and shoot it with new clear. As long as the base is OK, you wont need to worry about color mismatch.

I see your truck is two tone. You could always have the lower part done with Line-x.

Tacky, but true. If you like that look. Better have it sanded well or it will peel off after a while.

First instinct, is the truck was repaired, and poorly prepped.

What's under that peeling area? Another level of shiny clear?

That looks to me as if some clear plastic rock guard was put on the lower sections of the door and that is what is peeling.

Take it to a body shop and see what they say. It might be a simple repair.

My truck is not two tone fyi. Must be just a weird glare, its the sterling grey color all around. And I did take it to a body shop a couple weeks back and they told me they wanted to repaint the door as well as the rest of the truck in order to match. I figured that there has to be a cheaper option than that. Probably need to get a second opinion.

Blend the panel in front, and behind maybe. But the rest of the truck? Overkill. Sterling grey is not that hard to match, not sure why many shops have a problem with it. Operator error I assume.
