Default Chip and a Warranty

Just wondering what kind of effects installing a chip would have on my warranty. It seems like a chip is the kind of thing that can get easily blamed for problems as opposed to other popular upgrades.

If you ever take it in for Warranty for ANYTHING take the chip out and return your truck to stock. Don't even let them know you have it. They will try to blame anything they can on that. Obviously they can't if your bringing it in for suspension or something unrelated, but don't even let them have an excuse. Supposedly they can tell if you have used a chip before, but thats only if they check your PCM which there usually isn't any reason to do for general maintenance.

But just take it out and return to stock anytime you take it to Stealership until the warranty is out.

What is the warranty period? I know I'm out of the 3/36 but isnt there a 6/60 power/tran warranty?
