Check This Out
It's been about a year now that I've owned my first Ford. So I take it in to Ford for a routine oil change, I ask the service guy to look at the reveal of the rear bumper. He agreed that it was lower on the passenger side and asked how many miles are on your truck. I told him just over 12,000. He then told me adjustments are only warranteed for the first twelve months or 12 thousand miles, but they would look at it when they had it in the air. When they were done he said they looked at it and there wasn't much adjustment they could do but the tech tweaked it a little by pulling up on it. He then told me not to stand on the ends of the bumper but to stand in the middle if I needed to stand on it at all. That strikes me a little funny that you shouldn't stand on the bumper of a truck that's built ''Ford tough''.
you see that's what you get when you buy a new vehicle. they are all talk and hype anymore. the sheetmetal on cars used to be like 1/4 inch thick. now its fractions of that. if you want a fuel efficient vehicle you want it lighter so you cut corners to make it work but not work to the standards that some people demand. buy an old vehicle and put some love, sweat blood and money into it and i promise you, you will have something you can be proud of.
No it's never been hit, the reveal from the bottom of the tailgate to the top of the bumper was off about 3/4 of an inch. It wasn't that big of a deal but I thought since I was in there to get the oil changed I would have them look at it.
