check gauges
hey guys and gals, new here!
my problem is after I installed an aftermarket light (tied into tail lights) 0n 2004 F150 , it shorted on my way home. pickup ran fine on way home (minus tail lights and instrument/dash lights. I replaced fuse and had lights again. I did not drive it for two days, went to start it up two days later and nothing. turn key and I hear fuel pump, relays and PCM? fuel gauge and battery gauge work. Oil pressure and engine temp gauge do not move. also has "CHECK GAUGES" at odometer area. is there something to reset? other fuses to check? security code? im at a lose! please help! thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to the forum.
I would remove the light and inspect/repair the area you spliced into. Disconnect the battery for 1/2 hour and try again. You might still have a short draining the battery.
If that don;t work, start checking fuses one by one. Including the engine bank.
