Default Changing tires

So, I reckon I have to change all four at the same time on my F150 STX? Apparently, I just have "street" tires on there since I spin on spit. Gonna have to use this truck to get back to deer camp this year. Not a long haul in the woods, but a 4 wheel drive two track filled with snow for sure.

It was suggested that I find some Mud-type tires or at least "all season" tires. Do you folks have any suggestions?

This truck sure is different than the F150 2006 I had. That one had the bigger engine and a towing package. I would have taken that truck 3 miles down a wind-blown, log-strewn two track deep into Michigan's Upper Peninsula.....which I did for 6 mornings and evenings. Hell, I would have climbed Everest with that truck. This 2008 F150 STX with the smaller engine is nice and I love it, but it ain't what I had. I was thinking maybe some new rubber might help it out.

I've been doing alot of research on tires lately. I am going to need some new ones before winter hits. I found the Toyo Open Countrys' to be the best around. I'm going with the M/T version but there is also an A/T version. Check them out.

sorry to borrow your thread MJ07

I find myself in the same situation...

I have stock 17's and need new tires for my 2005 F150 4X4 ( no lift ); I wont to go as big as possible but just not sure what is a good size or the right look....

What do you guys think
