Changing factory speakers
Im wanting to change out all 4 factory speakers in my 2010 fx2 sport for pioneers 6x8 3-ways , but i dont want to change out the h/u. Im not sure if the h/u will be able to push the speakers like it should....anyone have an idea or insight on this?? Also wondering if theres anything i would need in order to change from factory speakers to after market (different speaker grill, adaptors..etc)

Lots of members go thru 'Crutchfield' which will sell you all the stuff you'll need, like the harness and plenty of advice.
They will tell you if an accessory amp is needed too, and even carry them in stock.
I've never used their service, just what I've gleaned off of different forums.

For a first step, replacing the speakers will make a difference, even without an external amplifier. You should look for a high efficiency/sensitivity rating (>90dB) if you are not going to use an external amp. Adapters are available to make the install plug and play, but you can just splice the wires if you prefer. No new grills are needed, Pioneers products come with everything you need. I wouldn't pay the premium to buy from crutchfield, you can use them to find the model you want, then use google shopping to find the best price. Woofersetc.com and sonicelectonix.com are discount sites that have great deals.
Good luck.
Good luck.
not sure on how indepth you want to get with the sound quality aspect but JL makes a product called Cleansweep that takes the signals from your factory headunit and cleans them up before they go into an amplifier. I would use it and add a 350x4 amp. Kicker 350.4 is a really good amp for the buck......but once again it is totally up to you on how far you want to go with it. Changing the speakers is a good start and you can always add the rest. You will see an improvement but probably not much since the average factory radio has an output of 10-20 watts per channel.
Thanks for the insight guys......im def wanting to change out the factory door speakers to get a louder crisper sound .....dont want to get too crazy with subs or multiple amps and i want to stay as close to factory as possible so changing h/u isnt something i want to do. Im wanting to change the speakers out myself.....is it hard to pop off the door panels? Dont want to risk any damage.

No it isnt hard to remove the door panels.....in fact if i remember right you dont have to remove the door panels.....i think you have to pop off the grille area over the speaker and then remove the speaker itself with a 5.5mm socket. I may be wrong since i havent done car audio in the past 2 years
