Default Changing battery, BMS/tuner question

Need to change my 2013 oem battery out. Thought this would be straight forward until I started seeing bits about the whole BMS process, flashing, having dealer do it or having FORSCAN, etc etc

https://www.f150forum.com/f38/replac...ew-way-231938/

Is there a way to accomplish this with my SCT X4? Or should I just plan to leave it sitting for 8 hours after the swap?

Just disconnect the sensor on the negative battery cable and never look back. The BMS on our trucks cause more problems than it solves. Have had mine disconnected for several years now and my battery thanks me every day when my truck fires up without hesitation.

Not sure what you're asking, if you mean warning lights the answer is no. You will not know any difference unless like many including myself, you wake up to a fully charged battery the next day instead of a dead one.
