So you currently have a 40/20/40 split bench front seat? Changing that over would be difficult because the models with captains chairs and a center console have the shifter in the console. I can't imagine that relocating your column shifter would be an easy task. Finding all the parts and pieces would be difficult and/or expensive as well. Best bet would be a junkyard.

But here's a link where you can get new parts for much cheaper than the parts counter.

im gonna leave the shifter on the column and use the area on the console for a ipod or iphone holder i just wonder what all i would have to have to change the jump seat out to the console and what all i have to do to do it.

Here's an exploded view of the components. Not sure if it's the right one. http://www.newfordparts.com/ifrm_browse.php
Look around on that site for more info. But as I said, junkyard might be your best and cheapest bet.
