I just spent 3 solid days of loading C-D's into my library and had several that couldn't be read until I Skip Doctor'ed them.
Two were cracked, just about broken, but the Skip Doctor fixed them up.
The Dr. grinds away the scratches and can only be used on the same disc maybe 3 times before they become unreadable.
I've had mine for at least 12 years, and the solution has never evaporated.

I would not use the headlight restoration kits. They contain mild abrasives which make your headlights look great but will put many more scatches on your CDs. You may want to chack at Best Buy- I believe that I saw a restoration kit for CDs somewhere. They would be able to help you.
