Can speed sensor wired be switched?

Default Can speed sensor wired be switched?
1997 4x4 4.6 f150
RAt chewed through the wire. If I solder them sand accidentally switch them could that be bad?

Harm, per se, probably not. But, computer won’t get the reading it is looking for, so that will trip a CEL.

Probably won't matter since they're variable reluctance sensors.
