Default Can I quiet down the turn signal

This may sound crazy/stupid, but the noise of my turn signal in the 2011 F150 drives my dog nuts!!
There are two relays in the box just inside the hood that click when the turn signal/emergency flashers are on. When I remove them, the flashers still work and the sound is still inside the cab. So I have no idea what those relays do. I want the flashers to work, just want the sound to be muted, eliminated or whatever.

My wife has commented on more than one occasion just how loud the turn signal is when I am on Sync talking to her. Sure don't ever forget to turn it off though

I was talking to my friend the other day on sync and he made the same comment.

They have different flashers (Considering they still use those in the 09+ trucks) I have a slightly louder one in my 08.

My son says it sounds like a cartoon sound effect.

My family complains of how noisy the blinkers are on my 2012. I noticed it at first, I am getting used to them. Don't know that there is a way to change them or not. I'll be watching this thread for an answer.

I believe in 09+ they are controlled by the BCM as opposed to a flasher relay and not sure where the sound comes from. Could be the same speaker as the door chimes, etc. My 09 is fairly quiet though

I don't know about Ford, but some manufacturers have gone to a digitally created signal effect through the speakers. That could explain why the dog is getting freaked out. Probably a frequency that's annoying to him. If not, check with an auto parts store like Napa to see if they have a solution. I am certain they would, or could point you in the right direction.

That said, I have found mine to be too quiet, and I am always looking at the dash or the mirrors to see if they are actually on.
