Default Calling the "Dent Wizard"

I mused to the Ford salesman when I purchased my new '97 F-150 "They don't make 'em like they used to!" Fast Forward to 2013 and my month old F-150 Lariat. Guess they still don't!
For those slick Madison Avenue types who coined the term "Built Ford Tough" I have the clue they obviously missed. An acorn dropped from an old Oak at the end of the lane from about 60 ft agl. My speed at the time of frontal impact was approx. 15-20 mph. Dent to hood was repaired at a cost of $55.00 (Dent Wizard)
Was a time that a 4" diameter dead branch from near that same tree bounced off the hood of my '97 without as much as a scratch. Times like this I really miss my F-100

Not sure about the 97, but the current model has a hood made of aluminum.

Default Dent Wizard

Funny thing about this experience. The (Dent Wizard) technician recognized it as acorn damage prior to any conversation on the subject. Seems Oak Trees and New vehicle owners = job security. Even so, no regrets on the new Ford F-150 purchase.
