Default calling all paint guys

I have an 04 Screw and on my C pillar on the passenger's side i have noticed it looks like the clear coat is comming off or something. I will try to attach a pic to better describe. As back ground on the truck it is used and i baught it two years ago and have only moticed this within the last couple of months. My question is, is this something that can buff out or is it going to take more than that?

Thanks

Hard to tell from the looks of the pic but I think I would try to buff it if there is any clear left on it....if the clear is gone then it can be re cleared and blended IMO.

From what the pictures look like, you should be able to do a simple paint restoration with a DA and the proper compounds. I suggest becoming a member of Autotopia.org and doing some research. The whole hood of my Musang once looked like that, I did a proper paint restoration and it shined until the day I sold him.

If you don't want to go at it yourself, find a competent detailer in your are that specializes in paint restoration. I don't trust paint/body shops to restore paint, as they typically are used to buffing out new paint, not damaged paint. My wifes Beemer went to a body shop in July and they "buffed" the whole car. Now I am going to have to re-do it agian when I get home, as the left alot of ghostind and actually marred the clear coat in some areas.

thats paint smoke line coming out

more or less some one tryed painting half the panel and what you do is use blending clear over the edge and buff out the edge of the clear and it will melt in

only down side is that it can come back and show the blend area

you can try buffing it but you might chase it down the panel
