Default cabin temp controles

Hello, I am new to the site and am hoping that someone will be able to help me. I have a 2004 F150 that I really love to drive. This morning my temp controls on the the dash, including the heated seat controls just started blinking (turning on and off). I can turn a wrench great, but am still learning to trouble shoot electrics. Any help to point me in the right direction would be very helpful. Thanks.

yes, it is automatic. The blinking seems to be random

I read about doing a self test on the eatc, I tried to do that but the darn thing keeps turning on and off (blinking), no luck there. I also keep hearing the diverter flap moving around, pretty sure that this is a result of something else though, any help would be nice. I am beginning to think that I have to replace the eatc.

Possible, they are known to go out. And they are not cheap to replace

I actually saw a thread on this site by accident (lucky me) that said to try and unplug the unit for at least an hour before trying it again, and it worked woohoo! It seems to be working fine right now, hopefully that was all that it needed, time will tell, at least it didn't cost me anything
