The mileage on that truck is in Kilometers that would be 108165K miles for us. In the late 90's and early 00's, both the 5.4 and the 4.6 liter had the potential problem with ejection plugs, mostly seen with higher mileage engines. From what I've read about this if you own one it's a good idea to check the torque on the plugs once a year and never use anti-seize on them.

The 4.6 and the 5.4 liter made it in Ward's 10 Best Engines from 96 through 2007.

Edit: I just did the conversion from Canadian to US dollars and that's $9120.38. Like you guy's said that's to much for that truck. I've seen 02's with similar mileage go for around 10K US dollars. Do trucks cost more in Canada?

ive lost count of the number of plugs I have changed in 4.6Ls over the past eight years, have always used anti seize and have never had a plug launch on me.

I know what your saying, I did the same when I changed them on my 02 and didn't have a problem with it. I drove another 10K before I traded it in. Using anti-seize changes the torque factor and with these having issues because of only having 3 to maybe 4 threads at most, I wouldn't do it again knowing this. If plugs are changed regularly they usually don't tend to seize. It's those few that wait forever then they end up breaking them trying to get them out. I use anti-seize on most everything including plugs. But I'm against recommending it on those.

Trucks do cost more in Canada because the conversion hasn't been made since now the Canadian dollar is worth more than the USD.

I'm guessing you would have to pay Canadian taxes if you came here bought a truck and drove it home? May still be worth it though.

Thats the good thing.... you only have to pay the same sales taxes as you would pay at a dealer anyways! I'm seriously thinking of getting a truck in Buffalo.
