Sounds like Colonial Ford of Plymouth wants to sell you a new truck...

Typical sales BS letter. OP, never had this before? I get them all the time, even from a Ford dealer that is literally 5 Ford dealerships and an hour's drive away.

I just received something similar from the dealer I purchased my Cert PreOwned 5.0 XLT SuperCrew from two years ago.

A portion of the love letter said, "due to a demand for 2016 model F150s, we will... (blah blah blah)".

Why would there be a demand for '16? No real reason, of course; it's just to sell me a new truck, or a newer CPO.

And, of course, I could say, "Because of the new '18 and '19 5.0s that burn oil and have balky 10-speeds?" but I won't.

I will say that my 5.0/6R80 drivetrain is outstanding.

nah, never had one before. I'm currently on the fence about buying a raptor and made a post on here about it. the timing had me a little suspicious. thought it was another case of big brother watching... lol

that being said, I think I'll stick with my 13 5.0 screw and enjoy having no payment next year

it came from the sales manager at the local dealer, not Ford directly. That should answer your question

I get these periodically on every vehicle I own or have owned. Just a slick way to coax you in for a trade up.

I just got one of those on my wife's 2010 Explorer, I know there is not a great demand on a 9 year old Explorer with a 4.0 in it.

My soon to be brother in law just got a letter like that about his Chevy Cruze he bought 2 years ago.

There was even a hand written portion on the letter from the sales guy he bought the car from saying "this is a great deal and I thought you'd be perfect for it!".

Funny how every used car is "above market value".
