Default Bubble or Flat Plate Cover

Hi everyone, the truck is a 2013 FX4 Appearance Pkg Short-box Supercrew in Tux Black. I have a simple question. I love the look of license plate covers but don't know which ones to get. First off, where I live, I only need them for the rear plate. My question is regarding whether it looks better to get a "flat" one or "bubble/dome" one. I really like the tinted look, but it would be too risky with cops where I live. Therefore, I have to possibly reduce the risk of getting pulled over by getting the clear one. I cannot decide between flat or bubble. What is typical for the rear plate? I'm also gonna go with one that doesn't have a black or chrome frame... just want something that looks fairly minimal. I know it must be down to personal preference, but would be glad to get some insight. Also, please post some pics, especially if your f150 is black, as I know the body color has at least a little to do with what would look best. Again... rear plate, clear cover... bubble or flat?? Thanks a bunch!

Look up your DMV regulations. Some states, like mine makes it a violation to cover the plate.
