After fighting with my back up sensors, I decided with the nice weather to clean all the connection points to hopefully eliminate the problem. The connector that is for the rear park aid system was brittle from the elements and the latch clip broke. I fought with it for a while but there is enough tension on the cable that it pulls itself loose from the tape job I tired and the camera stops working. I have it wedged in there and working for now, but fear any bump will loosen it up again. Attached is the closest picture I can find to the plug. Any suggestions to fix this? Can you just replace the plug? Can I find the entire harness?
Nothing ever goes as planned. Any help would be appreciated.
I'd thread a zip tie down between the wires on each end and zip it tie it nice and snug. Not too snug though, you don't want to damage the wires. Let's see it come apart that way.
