Default Broken console lid

Seems people have used an elbow on the console to hoist their (my) butt into the seat. The console lid is badly cracked. I haven't found just the lid for sale anywhere. Anyone know where to buy one or describe the process of repairing it? I'm considering fiberglass to repair and reinforce the plastic underneath the vinyl/leather. This is an old 2002 Lariat w 220000 mi.

If the dealer is no help and depending where you live, a call to the salvage (junk) yard(s) can often times be worth your time.

Hey thanks for the quick reply. I tend to translate "dealer" as "ripoff" so avoid them at all costs. My assumption is that the ones in the junkyard if there are any will be just as broken as mine. But I haven't actually looked. Just seems like there should be a good source online with the popularity of these trucks.

Based on the diagram from Tasca - it looks like part number: 1L3Z1506024AAA

From a quick Google search it doesn't look like it's for-sale new anywhere, nor any used ones on Ebay right now, I'd say Junkyard is your best bet.

Looking on Hollander parts (uses a junk yard database) they have a few whole consoles, but not just the console lid:

That's exactly what I am finding. I can buy the whole box but not just the lid.
Dude! You threw one AWAY?? Aargh. Bad timing.
I'm still leaning toward trying to repair it. I've glued the pieces together but it will have to be seriously reinforced. I think I also need running boards.

I'll double check...but yes..i believe i chucked my black/grey one. I replaced mine back in 2010 with a leather /stitched one, so the one i threw...or think i threw out was still brand new!
