Default Broke - Ugh

So, I was pulling a car out of a ditch and the tow strap snapped and took out part of my grill and the thingy between the grill and the bumper.

What is that thingy called? ...hope its cheap..

Does anyone know the name of that plastic trim piece between the grill and the bumper?

I believe it's called a bumper pad. Sucks that happened.

I believe the pad is around $150, then paint, plus a new grill around $300... You're in the $500-$750 range like digitaltrucker said...

A broken strap did that?!?!? Were you pulling with a TOW strap or RECOVERY strap? Big difference between the two with a specific purpose.

Not much help now but pull from the back next time.

I believe this is the front bumper cover, part #17D957. Could be wrong, but pretty sure...

Sucks that happened. But pull from the back. Also throw a sweat shirt/jacket/ratchet strap over the strap being used to pull whatever out. That way if it does break that jacket or whatever will make the strap fall and not break your grill or dent your tailgate.
