Default Brandmotion backup camera installation

I have installed the tailgate latch and chassis harness for a Brandmotion backup camera that uses the 4.2" display. However, the box included two sets of instructions and neither of them make sense to me. The chassis harness includes the RCA cable and three other wires (red, green and black). The black cable is obviously a ground. In one instruction set it states connect the red wire to the 'Output 1' marked wire on the programming module (which I can see). It then states attach the black wire to metal. Nothing is stated about the green chassis harness wire. In the second instruction set it states 'splice the green wire to reverse from the supplied chassis harness', 'splice the red wire to ignition from the supplied chassis harness' and attach the black wire to metal. What?

Has anyone installed one of these backup cameras and can help me decode the gobbledygook that was included with the kit?

I haven't installed one and I'm taking a shot in the dark here...

Green to reverse sensing wire.
Red to +12v
Black to ground.
