I have a 2009 F150 FX4. When I purchased the truck (accidentally) it had a few error codes. Replacing brake pads fixed most but the 3 lights were on (ABS, Brake and anti skid). I have been told it could be due to the battery had gone dead and sat about 3 weeks before I picked it up and code can be cleared or it could be the ECU or something electrical/wiring, this has always shown error B1342. Not long ago when driving in the snow my dash now reads check brake system which has lead to B1596. I have read the check brake system can be something as simple as burnt out brake light
