Default brake lights stuck on

2001 F150 crewcab, 5.4l; absolutely no problems (70K mi) and then last week the brake lights fail to turn off..they're stuck on....otherwise truck runs fine. I removed the bulbs to keep the battery from draining; Anyone else hear of this problem? possible solution? where is the brake light switch ? any help is greatly appreciated!

Take a look under the dash at the pedal mechanism. There might be two switches there, believe one wire is lt grn/red and the other is lt grn. Un plug it and see what happens.
