Bp and shell
You'll pay more usually for name brand gasoline because of the additives they use and hopefully better quality control refining and handling their product. Offbrand gasoline is cheaper but you'll never know where it comes from and who's hauling it.
Well apparently the other guy thought I was full a chit and didn't know what I was talk in about!! ANYways so since ford "recommends" it does that mean it's the best for the trucks or is there better ones like shell??
I don't think it's the best but quality gas like Shell, Chevron are better then the discount versions. I put some cheap gas in my new truck when they were filling the tank's and ended up getting one O2 sensor and 4 injector's changed. Back to using Shell afterward's because they have more station's down here, better quality control and better additives. Any problem's Shell will more be likely to correct them then offbrand gas. Keep your receipt's too!

BP isnt on that list, but ive noticed better mileage with bp and shell than the cheaper crap stations, coincidence? I dont know for sure, wasnt scientific.

The reason I ask if shell is better because I have a bp in my town but no shell station but the next town over about 15 miles away has a shell and was wondering if it's worth driving that far just to fill up with it instead of using the bp in my town

I run the "crap" gasoline in all my vehicles. They all start well, run smoothly, don't ping or detonate, fuel mileage is very good, HGO sensors keep on cooking. I see little sense in spending an extra dime or more per gallon to get no improvement in performance, and I've tried 'em all.Oh, I do add injector cleaner at every 20 gallon fill, so that may have something to do with the satisfactory performance of the "crap" gasoline.
