At a stall here until I find some diagrams, anyone have one?
I have thought of just splicing into the wiring at the back of the switch, one hot, and one ground. The cutting the wiring at the switch, and sticking in a plunger or magnetic switch, likely would be a for sure thing, although I'd like to maintain the option to turn off the lights from the OEM switch as well.

I'm gonna change your name to "Robert of the Rescue"! Thanks.
I'll get on this later today, I can see I'll be doing some downloading.

Ya, that's one way. I'm thinking of tapping into the power side of the switch in the bed, insert momentary switch, and run it to ground. I'm gonna wait until I hear from Robert of the Rescue before I do.
In my mind, it would be 3 switches in parallel.
