Bite the bullet on this 2013 King Ranch 4x4?
We've been looking for the perfect truck for awhile now. Test drove a new 2016 Lariat and loved it, but definitely can't afford the price of one of those bad boys right now lol, so we've been looking for a 2013 model and our dealer we've worked with before just go in a 2013 King Ranch 4x4 ecoboost that has everything we want, and even things we don't need like the automatic running boards.
We test drove it right when they got it in on a trade, it hadn't even been detailed yet but it was still extremely clean inside, has great paint, and drove exactly like the 2016 we tested. Only problem is it has 93k miles on it already and that's the only thing making us weary. We can get it for $25k, which is the absolute best we've been able to find, but obviously that reflects the high miles.
Is it worth it to jump on this deal and make the offer? We plan to get it inspected before signing anything and are smart enough to know when to walk away, but this will be our first f-150 and we have no clue what to expect from these engines and what they can handle, so any input on our situation would be GREATLY appreciated.

Get Ford maintenance report (Oasis) and Carfax. Would look at a Ford warranty also. Clearly highway miles - could ask dealer if you could speak to previous owner (one owner?) - dealer reaction may tell you something. My wife's 2010 Taurus SHO has the Ecoboost - at 65000 needed spark plugs now at 76000 with no issues!
Appears to look in good condition. My concern is the mileage. While 93K is not significant, it is high for a 3 year old truck; 31K per year. It was used quite a bit each year.
I'd want to know that it had good maintenance performed each year. How was this truck used by it's previous owner(s)?

Other than obviously needing its compass re-calibrated (because it can't tell right side up from not) I wouldn't foresee any major issues. It's obviously highway miles which really aren't bad on a vehicle (unless it was used to tow something really heavy for all those miles). Seems like a decent deal to me. I just bought a 2011 with 96k and I love it! Other than my pass side air blend door clicking, it runs and drives great.

FWIW, I drive about 31,000 miles a year and have just over that on my '14 (bought it a year ago). Driving that much is pretty easy miles on a vehicle. I tend to trade every 2 years just to keep in something fairly new. If it's clean and the history checks out, my only concern would be that many miles on an Ecoboost, timing chain maybe?
I just bought my 2011 EB. Love the truck and mine had 101,000 miles. The interior was kept up very well.
The truck you are looking at seems very nice for the price. I am not worried about towing as much having a youngster race it around. Personally if it were me and I was in your position and the maintenance has been kept up I would jump on it.
High mileage yes but if it is kept well you should be good to go.

Another thing I'd consider is how long you plan to finance. I'd hate to take a 5 + year loan out on a vehicle with 100k miles. But I'd have a hard time spending that much coin on a vehicle with that many miles. I'd rather have a lower trim and half the miles for the same price myself.
