Best way to clean bugs off chrome bumper

Out here in the country i get a hefty dose of bugs even one time bird guts on the bumper, grill and windshield.
Tried those bug off products and decided they're too harsh taking off any waxes or ceramic finishes.
What i do now is soak the hell out of bug guts with ordinary car wash soap and let sit for a while to soften them up.
Then add a fresh dose of the soap and most of the bugs come easily off with a car wash mitt.
The more stubborn dried up bug guts need little more light scrubbing with a car wash mitt and they eventually come off also.

When hand washing I start with the front of the truck and soak down the entire front end then move on and do the rest of the truck. The trick is to let the soapy water soak in for a while.

Regular car wash soap and a nylon dish pan scrubber. Bugs come right off.

I also found the key is to let them soak in something, or sit under a damp towel for several minutes, to soften them up, then they wipe away easy. Same way with hardened bird poo.

Scrubbing bubbles
SCRUBBING BUBBLES or it's Dollar store equivalent with a clean sport sock is what I use..not just on bumper but also the painted areas, the plastics on my ATV, and everywhere on my VStrom MC...For 20 yrs..I used to use it on the 5th wheel too..if it's safe for smooth acrylic shiny shower stalls and tubs, it is safe for all those things too. Spray it on..it's a foam..let it sit for a while, Then wipe the foam and bugs off with the sock. Do it when the body is cool..in the shade so it doesn't dry too fast.

Wish that were true.
Once they're on there for a while in hot weather they get baked right into the any wax down to the clear coat..
Though a good wax definitely helps to remove the fresh bug guts but doesn't help the baked in ones to be easily removed.

I wash the truck, and put a little extra effort on the bumpers, my only chrome. I then use chrome polish and run away any remaining bug parts. Regular use of the polish keeps the bumper slick enough that bugs are easy to remove.
