Well, here we are! Worked great, DonJuans suggestion of using the 9005 in the 9140 Fogs worked great! small non fitment issue on stock dust cap on the lo beam, but just due to fan size width on bulb, still sealed enough for me to be comfortable with no water getting in there.

Below s copied from my build thread in my signature. Enjoy.

OK. I know what you're thinking, and I hope to address it in the following...

I took a risk this past weekend and bought some of the following from Amazon. Let me first start by saying I am in no way compelled in any way by anybody to write the following review, but I honestly felt like I HAD to because I was doing research for the last few months to try and find a solution for the not so good OEM halogen bulbs.

I have been looking to replace the halogen bulbs for quite some time with LED's that were plug and play with NO retrofit and NO conversions needed. Simply take out the Halogen bulb and carry on. Well, I can officially say my research and purchase have concluded and I can not be any happier.

In my research somebody had mentioned something about Hikari LEDs. I YouTubed and Googled just about as much as anyone could, and was pleasantly surprised to see 12k lumens at a 6k cool white temp. Went through the reviews and a lot of people were either loving them or hating them. I am here to say, that for a 2018 F150 XLT, I could not have wanted or wished for ANYTHING better. I wanted to get lights from a company that not only did the Lo and Hi, but also made an equivalent temperature Fog as well. After finding out that the Hikari's did not make a 9140 bulb (Fog light) I was quickly moving on. Then I found the following on a forum here saying that the 9005 bulb is compatible with the 9140 dongle... I was highly skeptical and really didn't pay any attention to it. After trying to find some other company to fit my wants, I stumbled on other posts and forums saying the same thing about the 9005 vs. 9140 compatibility... So, I took a Chance.

Good Lord they fit and worked amazingly. Both the Lo, Hi, AND the Fog (9005s). Both Lo and Hi fit with the stock dust caps almost perfectly (the top part of the LED fan would not allow the full closure of the dust cap, is maybe a single millimeter out of place, but I felt perfectly fine about leaving it this way as I felt that the protection was not compromised. A larger dust cap would not be the fix because it was a width dimension instead of length.) The hardest part of all this was doing the research. I will post a great link that I followed step by step on YouTube to remove the fender well, as well as links and pictures of the bulbs that I bought. Hope you find this post informative!

Disclaimer....you will definitely need to adjust these to make sure you're not blinding people. There is NO light dispersion in these and they seriously light EVERYTHING up....

Full View of Driver Side POST Install --- Dust Caps on, and Fog light connector zip tied to frame up out of way to prevent sagging.

Low Beam Dust Cap that I had issue with on the top... Cap will not COMPLETELY seal, but is about 90% sealed on top. Perfect fit everywhere else, and no issue on the High Beam Cap.

Are you still running these lights? Are you happy with them? Any issues long term?
