Default Best LED's for 2018 F150's

Greetings All,

Trying to buy aftermarket LED lights and so far I'm really liking what I found with the HIkari's. Both for the price and the capability. I was hoping to find out what some other opinions are regarding the best plug and play sets of lo's (H11), hi's (9005), and fogs (9140) are out there. I would like to not have to get other dust caps, and if so, please let me know how you did it on your set up!

It appears as Hikari doesn't have any of the 9140??? At least from my research and the other LED light posts! Just want to see if anyone has found out more about LED's than I have since the dawn of a New Year! I've kept up with a lot of the other threads on here so just wanting some fresher opions cause maybe they have changed!

I went with factory LED headlights and 9005 ZES LED bulbs for the fog lights. Might be a little more expensive at the beginning, but it’s worth not having to worry about quality and performance issues long term. I thought about going the less expensive LED bulb route at first, but then learned about all the issues associated with heat sinked LED bulbs in the halogen headlight housings and changed my mind.

Can't speak to the '18, but I have Diode Dynamics SL1 highs, SL1 lows, and SLF fogs on my '17 Lariat. Dust covers went on again without any issues. I imagine that fitment on the '18 is similar to the '17. Love the lighting output of the Diode Dynamics products and the 3 year warranty is unmatched.

Do you have a 2018? 9005 Fogs are not what I'm finding... I'm seeing them as 9140 Fog sizing?

Yes. It’s a 2018. 9005 has higher wattage on a regular halogen bulb vs a 9140, but connectors and form factors are nearly the same. Both will fit the factory housing. The 9005 light output is better than a 9140, but since mine are LED, there is no increase in heat, which was cracking the glass just form the stock factory bulb. This is a known Ford issue Btw.

I went with Morimotos LED bulb with my Anzo's SB since they use H7's. I've had Diode Dynamics as well and no issues with them. Compare the both and see what what you like the best.

Ok thank you...

But just so we're perfectly clear, isn't the high beam light a size 9005? SO you're running a "high beam" bulb in your fogs AND your high beams?
