Default Best Diminished Value Strategy?

Long story short, was hit on Friday in my 2014 Screw, not my fault.

What have some of done done to get more $$ got diminished value? The 17c formula the insurance companies use is a joke.

Any and all advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Probably not much help but I'm friends with a bunch of attorneys and also use a legal-aid service. Just a mention of my buddies law firm name and my offer went from $300 to $1000. The amount is pretty negotiable in my experience, from several different fender benders.

professional appraisal.

any time you utilize a lawyer or other to assist, they're gonna take a cut. And the vast majority of adjusters, when you mention a lawyer, will just suggest you have the lawyer call them. Believe it or not, the threat of lawyer intervention doesn't scare insurance companies; they've heard the same line millions of times for decades

Amount of DV depends a lot on the damages, whether there's even a Carfax hit, and what a certified appraiser values the truck at now.

They won't consider KBB numbers, OR Jim Bob used car appraiser at X Ford dealer saying what he'd give in trade on the damaged-repaired truck.
