Default bell housing stuck to engine

Hello. First timer here. I've got all six bolts out of my bell housing, jack in place under it and I've been prying on it, heating with heat gun and still nothing. First time I've ever done a job this big and thinking I might break something. Any advice? thanks

It's not stuck to it lol. Push up on the back so it's aligned with the back of the engine and pull backwards. The input shaft of the tranny goes INTO the the output of the back of the engine. In other words you need to lift up and pull back away from the engine. I will come it might take some force they can be in there tight.

Is the starter out? How about the bolts from the flex plate to the torque converter? (If it's an automatic).

Default it came loose

I put a jack under engine to hold it up, lowered transmission lift a couple of notches and grabbed the back of the housing and shook it until it came apart. thanks for help. Also, there's fluid on housing where shifter enters. Should I replace the parts in that area? thanks
