Default beeping coming from dash

I have a 2013 lariat with about 75,000 miles on it in the last month I started getting a beeping sound while driving. At first it was every now and then but it has progressively increased to where it’s doing it about 12 to 15 times per mile. Needless to say it’s driving me crazy. I talked to the Ford dealerships and they have no idea. At least the service writers didn’t have a clue, but I have to admit I don’t quite trust the knowledge of the service writers at this particular dealership.

The beeping sound is the same sound that the driver seat makes if you push the memory buttons for driver one or driver two. the beeping is intermittent. sometimes I’ll go up miles without a beep, then it’ll just start beeping constantly. Like I said 12 to 15 times a minute.

I'm thinking it could possibly have something to do with the airbag? The airbag light comes on when I start the truck then goes off a couple of seconds later.

it has also beeped when the engine is off. Usually when I’m getting into or out of truck.

any ideas? I hate to just take it into the dealership and say find something.

thanks
PAC

Don't trust what service writers say as most have no knowledge of how vehicle works, and even some don't even know how to add oil to an engine. They are trained to sell the customer as many services as possible, regardless if they are needed or not. My son was a service writer for two years at the local Ford dealer and he was lucky to even know how to drive a car let-alone take care or service one.

Airbag light comes on when you switch the ignition on until it completes the sensor checks. Not related.

Pull your error codes.

Same issue here on my 14 F150. Took to the dealership and was told they had no idea.

I put the truck into engineering mode, and in that menu it has a screen that displays last chime played.

The beep I get is labeled as a chime 19.

Anyone have a clue what a chime 19 might be?

This might be an old discussion, but I hope my experience can help others. I had a persistent airbag light on my Ford F150. After weeks of troubleshooting, I found a helpful article on the YOUCANIC website about Ford Airbag Lights. Their guide helped me identify a damaged wire in the passenger sensor, caused by seat adjustments. Fixing this turned off the airbag light. I'm grateful for YOUCANIC's informative articles, they saved me time and money. I can now drive my F150 without any airbag light issues. I highly recommend YOUCANIC.
